All the skills required in the QCS are, to varying degrees, the same abilities needed in students' chosen subjects. It is extremely important as a group of highly skilled professionals that all teachers fulfil the requirements of their syllabus PLUS teach the five key learning abilities required to complete a successful QCS. All staff should be reminded that, for an individual cohort to obtain the best OP or RANK SELECTION possible, they must perform well in the subject and complete a successful QCS. There is a greater likelihood of this occurring when classroom teachers clearly demonstrate and provide practical experience to students to develop such skills.
Essentially, students must be proficient in the five key learning abilities, which are as follows: | α Alpha | Comprehending and Collecting | | β Beta | Structuring and Sequencing | | Θ Theta | Analysing, Assessing and Concluding | | Φ Phi | Applying Techniques and Procedures | | Π Pi | Creating and Presenting (mainly Writing Task) |
